Mulching Outdoor Autos
#1
Bare soil around an outdoor auto dries out fast, heats up and grows weeds, all of which slow a plant that has no time to spare. A few centimetres of straw or wood chip keeps the root zone even and cuts watering by about half in my beds. The comparison of mulch materials on https://turboautoflowerseeds.com warns against fresh grass clippings, which mat down and go slimy. Slugs like mulch too, so a ring of grit or copper tape around the stem is sensible.
