Silksong: The 98-Rated Metroidvania That Broke the Internet
Posted by: xtameembb - 10-17-2026, 10:00 AM - Forum: My Forum - No Replies

As a regular player who has been waiting for Hollow Knight: Silksong since the original game ate my entire summer back in the day, I still remember launch week like it was yesterday. It was 2025, and the internet basically melted. Steam crashed. The Switch eShop crashed. I think even my fridge would have crashed if it had a store page. Team Cherry dropped Silksong without sending out review codes, so critics and players were all starting from zero at the same time. That was a bold move, and honestly, I loved it. No spoilers, no early hot takes, just pure chaos and discovery.

Then the reviews started trickling in. And wow. ? At the time of that early snapshot, Hollow Knight: Silksong had 10 reviews on OpenCritic, with nine perfect scores and one 98/100. That gave it a 98 average. On OpenCritic, that made it the highest-rated game on the platform, ahead of heavy hitters like Super Mario Odyssey, Baldur's Gate 3, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Grand Theft Auto 4, Elden Ring, Astro Bot, The Last of Us Remastered, God of War (2018), and Persona 5 Royal. I remember staring at that list and thinking, 'Wait, seriously? My little bug game?'

Now, in 2026, I can look back with a clearer head. That 98 was never going to last forever. Ten reviews is a tiny sample. As more outlets turned in scores, it was almost guaranteed to drop. Some critics were always going to bounce off the difficulty, the boss runbacks, or the sheer size of the map. And OpenCritic has its own quirks: it mostly covers games from 2013 onward, with rare exceptions like GTA4. So Silksong wasn't being compared to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which sits at 99 on Metacritic. That's a different era with far fewer reviews counted. Still, even with those caveats, a 98 debut is absurd.

Not gonna lie, Silksong kicked my butt. ? I'm not a speedrunner. I'm just a person with a controller and too much free time. Some of those boss runbacks had me talking to my screen. I died to one late-game boss so many times that I started recognizing the background music's loop points. 'Boss runbacks' became a meme for a reason. Team Cherry said they were looking at updates to address some of the criticism, and modders did what modders do: within days, there were mods to make the game easier, remove runbacks, or tweak damage. That's the beauty of this community. If the developers won't fix it, someone will.

Here's the early score picture, just to show how wild it was:

What I love most is that Silksong didn't need review codes to succeed. It didn't need a giant marketing campaign. It had years of hype, sure, but Team Cherry delivered a game so dense, so gorgeous, and so brutally satisfying that people couldn't stop talking about it. It smashed records, crashed storefronts, and immediately entered the Game of the Year conversation. In 2026, that conversation hasn't really ended. You still see people arguing about their favorite bosses, sharing clips, and begging for DLC. I'm one of them.

So, should you play Silksong? If you love Metroidvanias, yes. If you hate difficult games, maybe watch a let's play first. But for me, the pain was part of the point. Every victory felt earned. Every bench felt like a hug. And every time Hornet did that little sit-down animation, I felt a weird sense of peace before the next nightmare boss. The 98 average might have been a snapshot, but the game itself is a monument. It's 2026, and I'm still thinking about it. That's the real review score. ?

There's a practical side to all this too. After the credits roll and the hype settles, most of us go looking for the next fix — another Metroidvania, a roguelike that punishes just as hard, or something completely different to decompress with. That's usually when I start digging through my wishlist to see what's actually worth buying versus what can wait. Keeping an eye on a steam sale tracker helps with exactly that, so you're not paying full price for a game that goes on discount two weeks later.

DealNest is one of those tools I wish I'd found before spending full price on half my library, and it's genuinely useful if you're the type who buys a lot of games and wants to know when prices actually drop. It won't make Silksong's boss runbacks any kinder, but it might soften the blow of your next impulse purchase.

Build Real Skills with Excel Exercises
Posted by: Laplace - 10-17-2026, 09:53 AM - Forum: My Forum - No Replies

Learning Excel is easier when you are actually working inside a spreadsheet rather than watching someone else explain one. Excel Lessons is built around that idea. The site offers 105 short lessons across 18 modules with every task taking place in a real grid. Instead of passively reading instructions, you type the formula, press Enter and see immediately whether it works. This practical approach turns Excel practice into something focused and closer to the way people actually use spreadsheets at work. Each lesson follows the same deliberate pattern. First you are shown the idea and the formula behind it. Then you are asked to predict a result, apply the formula, vary it and eventually build something without an example in front of you. The structure matters because it removes guesswork while still making you think. Unlike static Excel practice sheets the lessons respond to what you enter marking your answer and explaining why it is wrong when you make a mistake.

That immediate feedback is one of the strongest parts of the experience. You do not have to wait until the end of a worksheet to discover that an error has affected everything else. With Excel practice online at Excel Lessons the grid tells you straight away what happened. The lesson then moves forward one step at a time adding only what you are ready to use. By the final stages you are often writing a complete formula independently which makes the progress feel earned rather than memorised. The course sequence is as intentional as the lesson design. The 18 modules are arranged around what each topic needs from the ones before it so new functions appear when they become useful. In a few cases a function is introduced ahead of its main lesson because the task would not make sense without it. This makes the Excel exercises feel connected to real spreadsheet problems rather than isolated drills created to fill a syllabus.

Every lesson also ends with a sense of what has changed. The learning goals are written before the steps and the steps have to justify them. By the time you finish, you should be able to do two or three things you could not do before. Excel exercises often focus on the mistake people commonly make with that function giving you a safe place to encounter it before it appears in an important report. For anyone who wants to become more confident with formulas Excel Lessons offers a way to learn. Its combination of real grids, instant marking, carefully staged tasks and practical mistakes makes Excel practice more active, memorable and useful than simply reading about formulas or copying examples.   MMOEXP WoW Forever: Reported Beta Changes
Posted by: Nantwi - 10-17-2026, 08:27 AM - Forum: My Forum - No Replies

Core answer

The supplied text describes reported WoW Forever beta changes to racial abilities, class skills, and PvP systems. Treat the specific figures as unconfirmed until Blizzard publishes final patch notes.
WoW Forever: Reported Beta Changes
Racial updates
The report says weapon specializations have been removed and racial abilities adjusted. These changes could affect character choices, but their impact depends on final values and how they perform in actual gameplay.
The text describes new or revised bonuses for several races, including changes to critical effects, mounted speed, health regeneration, and defensive abilities. It also reports adjustments to cooldowns and damage reduction. These figures should be checked against official patch notes before players make decisions based on them.
Class and team changes
The report also describes class adjustments that may affect group composition and combat. Examples include a delay to ranged attacks, a new Shadow Priest talent, a Retribution Paladin ability change, and Mage spell updates.
If these changes reach the live game, groups may reassess each class’s damage, support, and survivability. A single buff does not automatically make a class essential; raid needs also depend on encounter mechanics, gear, and other class changes.
PvP direction
The text says Blizzard discussed layering, battleground rewards, premade matchmaking, and future competitive features. These topics could shape world PvP and battleground play, but discussion does not guarantee a feature or launch date.
The report describes plans to improve large-scale PvP technology, match premade groups against other premades, and make battlegrounds other than Alterac Valley more rewarding. It also says Blizzard is cautious about adding arenas or rated battlegrounds to a classic-style game.
Player decisions
Players should verify both game changes and trading rules before acting. MMOEXP is a game-trading platform. Players should review the game’s terms of service and applicable rules before considering any transaction involving WoW Gold.
The MMOEXP game marketplace provides information and services related to game trading; its specific offerings and rules are determined by its website. Do not assume a trading method is officially endorsed or complies with a game’s rules.
Before making decisions involving WoW Forever Gold, check the game’s terms of service and the applicable rules. This article does not recommend transactions that violate those rules or make promises about account outcomes.

FAQ
Are these racial changes final? The supplied text does not confirm that they are final. Beta values can change, so check official patch notes and in-game descriptions before choosing a race based on a specific bonus.
Do the PvP discussions confirm that arenas are coming? No. The text describes caution about adding arenas and rated battlegrounds to a classic-style game. Discussion alone does not establish that these systems will launch or provide a release date.
Should I choose a race based on one bonus? Not necessarily. Consider your class, preferred playstyle, group needs, and final ability values. A temporary beta advantage does not prove that a race will remain stronger after launch.

Enhance Your Living Space With Modern Sofa Cover Designs
Posted by: speechhub - 10-17-2026, 08:11 AM - Forum: My Forum - No Replies

Creating a comfortable home involves choosing furniture and decorative accessories that combine style with everyday convenience. The sofa is often the centerpiece of a living room, where family members relax, watch television, and welcome visitors. Selecting sofa covers in pakistan can help homeowners maintain their furniture while introducing fresh colors and attractive textures. Instead of replacing an entire sofa set to change the appearance of a room, a suitable cover offers a practical way to update the interior and complement existing decorations.

With different fabrics, fitting styles, and designs available, homeowners can find options for both traditional sitting rooms and contemporary family lounges.

The Importance of Protecting Your Sofa

Sofas are used frequently, so their upholstery can gradually collect dust, food particles, and other everyday dirt. Regular contact may also contribute to fading and visible wear, particularly in busy households.

A sofa cover provides an additional layer between the original upholstery and daily activities. Depending on its material, it can help reduce the effects of minor spills, friction, and surface dirt. This can be especially useful when the sofa is shared by several family members or used throughout the day.

Another benefit is easier cleaning. Removable covers can often be washed separately according to their care instructions, helping homeowners maintain a cleaner seating area.

Sofa covers also provide flexibility when decorating. A new design can change the appearance of familiar furniture and create a more coordinated atmosphere without requiring major changes to the room.

Discover Sofa Covers for Different Interior Styles

Every home has its own decorative preferences. Some homeowners prefer simple colors, while others enjoy textured fabrics and distinctive patterns. Exploring different sofa cover styles makes it easier to find an option that matches your furniture.

Bubble Sofa Covers for Everyday Comfort

Bubble sofa covers feature a raised texture that gives furniture a distinctive appearance. Their soft-looking surface can add visual depth to a plain sofa and make the seating arrangement feel more inviting.

These covers can suit family lounges, television rooms, and casual sitting areas. They can be combined with plain cushions to create a balanced look or paired with complementary accessories for a coordinated interior.

When selecting a bubble cover, check its dimensions and flexibility. A suitable fit helps the fabric remain in place and prevents excessive folding during regular use.

Turkish-Style Covers for a Refined Look

Turkish-style sofa covers offer decorative textures that can complement modern and traditional interiors. Their appearance varies according to the fabric, color, and design, making it possible to select something that suits your personal taste.

Neutral shades can create a calm atmosphere, while darker colors may introduce contrast against light walls and flooring. These covers can also help create a consistent appearance across several pieces of living room furniture.

Consider the surrounding decorations before choosing a design. Matching the cover with curtains, cushions, and rugs can help bring the room together without making it look overly decorated.

Jacquard Covers for Stylish Sitting Rooms

Jacquard fabric is known for its woven patterns and textured finish. It can provide a decorative appearance while helping the sofa become a more noticeable part of the interior.

Fitted jacquard covers may work well in formal sitting rooms and guest areas where a neat furniture arrangement is desirable. However, the final result depends on the shape of the sofa and the dimensions of the cover.

Before ordering, check whether the design accommodates your furniture's armrests, backrest, and seating sections. This is particularly important for fitted styles that are intended to follow the sofa's shape.

Waterproof Covers for Added Convenience

Waterproof sofa covers may be useful for households where accidental spills are a common concern. Depending on the construction and material, they can help prevent liquids from reaching the upholstery beneath.

They may suit family rooms where people regularly enjoy tea, drinks, or snacks while sitting on the sofa. However, protection levels vary, so always review the product specifications before making a purchase.

Even when using a waterproof covering, it is sensible to clean spills promptly and follow the manufacturer's maintenance recommendations.

How to Measure Your Sofa Correctly

Selecting the correct size is essential for a comfortable fit and an attractive appearance. A cover that is too small may leave parts of the sofa exposed, while a loose cover can move around and create unnecessary folds.

Begin by measuring the overall width, seating depth, backrest, and armrests. If your sofa has separate cushions, determine whether the product is designed to cover each cushion individually or fit over the entire sofa.

The furniture configuration also matters. Single chairs, two-seater sofas, three-seater sofas, and larger arrangements require different measurements.

L-shaped sofas may need specially designed covers because their corner sections and extended seating areas do not always fit standard rectangular designs.

Review the product measurements carefully and compare them with your furniture before ordering. Taking a few minutes to measure correctly can help avoid unnecessary exchanges and improve the final appearance.

Choose Fabric According to Your Household Needs

The right fabric depends on how your sofa is used. A household with children may benefit from a cover that is straightforward to clean, while a formal sitting room may be better suited to a decorative material.

If your sofa receives daily use, consider durability, comfort, and maintenance requirements together. Pet owners may prefer removable fabrics that are easy to clean, while households concerned about liquid spills may find water-resistant options useful.

Texture also influences the experience. Softer materials can make seating feel more inviting, while structured fabrics may provide a more tailored finish.

Before purchasing, read the care instructions. Some materials can be machine-washed, whereas others require handwashing or specialized cleaning. Understanding these requirements helps you choose a product that fits your routine.

Create a Balanced Color Scheme

A sofa cover can influence the overall appearance of a living room because the sofa often occupies a significant portion of the space. Choosing the right color helps connect the furniture with the surrounding decorations.

Cream, beige, and light grey are popular options for neutral interiors. They can complement light walls, wooden furniture, and simple curtains while creating an open appearance.

Brown and coffee shades introduce warmth, while navy blue and charcoal grey provide contrast. Rich colors such as maroon can add character to traditional rooms or interiors with darker decorative elements.

Lighting should also be considered. Natural daylight and indoor bulbs can make the same fabric appear different, so it helps to compare the color with your existing furnishings.

If the room already contains patterned curtains and rugs, a plain cover can create visual balance. Alternatively, a textured or patterned cover may become an attractive focal point in a simple interior.

Simple Ways to Keep Sofa Covers Clean

Routine maintenance helps preserve the appearance and comfort of sofa covers. Dust and loose particles can accumulate along seams, around armrests, and between cushions.

Use a soft brush or a suitable vacuum attachment to remove debris. Regular cleaning is particularly helpful in busy living rooms where the sofa is used throughout the day.

For accidental spills, follow the cleaning instructions provided with the cover. Avoid using harsh products that could damage the material or affect its color.

If the cover is machine-washable, use the recommended cycle and water temperature. Dry it according to the manufacturer's instructions before placing it back on the sofa. Proper care can help reduce the risk of shrinking, fading, and changes in texture.

Straightening the fabric and adjusting cushions regularly can also keep the seating arrangement looking neat.

Improve Your Living Room Without Replacing Furniture

Updating an entire furniture set can be costly, particularly when the sofa is still comfortable and structurally sound. A suitable cover provides an alternative for homeowners who want a fresh appearance without making a major investment.

Changing the sofa's color can help coordinate it with new curtains, complement a different rug, or introduce a seasonal decorative theme. This flexibility makes sofa covers useful for both small updates and broader interior changes.

When comparing prices, consider the number of pieces required for your furniture. A complete arrangement may need covers for several sofas and chairs, so check exactly what each product includes.

It is also helpful to compare fabric quality, fitting, durability, and cleaning requirements rather than choosing solely on price. A product that meets your everyday needs may provide better long-term value.

Coordinated cushions and a suitable throw can complete the look without adding unnecessary decoration.

Shopping for Sofa Covers Online

Online shopping allows homeowners to explore different designs, materials, and sizes from home. Product listings can help you compare styles and identify coverings that match your furniture and budget.

Sofa Covers Pakistan offers a range of options, including bubble sofa covers, Turkish-style designs, jacquard fitted covers, and waterproof varieties. Exploring these categories can help you identify styles suited to different living spaces.

Before completing an order, review the fabric description, available sizes, product photographs, and washing instructions. Confirming the measurements is especially important when purchasing covers for sectional or unusually shaped sofas.

It is also sensible to check delivery information and return conditions. If you are uncertain about the fit, confirm the product specifications before placing your order.

Taking time to compare the available options can make the shopping process more straightforward and help you select a cover that suits your home.

Conclusion

Sofa covers provide an accessible way to refresh furniture, coordinate interior decorations, and add a layer of protection against everyday use. Choosing the right design involves considering the sofa's measurements, fabric characteristics, color scheme, and maintenance requirements.

Whether you prefer bubble textures, Turkish-style coverings, decorative jacquard fabric, or waterproof options, the most suitable choice is one that fits your furniture and lifestyle.

With careful selection and regular maintenance, sofa covers can help create a living room that remains comfortable, attractive, and welcoming without requiring the expense of replacing the entire sofa set.

Hollow Knight: Silksong in 2026: A Masterpiece That Still Demands Everything
Posted by: xtameembb - 10-17-2026, 06:54 AM - Forum: My Forum - No Replies

In 2026, Hollow Knight: Silksong no longer feels like a myth whispered across gaming events. It is a real, massive, handcrafted sequel that took Team Cherry's Kickstarter promise and inflated it into something that rivals the original in size, scope, and emotional weight. I played it on PC, and even with Steam's servers groaning under the launch, the experience was unmistakable: this is not a victory lap. It is a second masterpiece stitched from the same silk, then pulled tight until it cuts.

Silksong began as a playable Hornet in Hollow Knight and ballooned into a project that took roughly three times the development time of the original. Fans wore clown wigs at every major showcase, waiting for news, and when the game finally arrived, it broke Steam top-seller records. By 2026, the conversation has shifted from 'Will it ever come out?' to 'How does it hold up?' My answer: like a fencing match inside a collapsing clock tower—elegant, precise, and constantly one misstep away from disaster.

A Sequel That Rewires Every Thread

Silksong shares Hollow Knight's base gameplay, but it reworks almost every component. Charms are gone, replaced by tools that occupy dedicated slots, and they feel balanced within their categories. The compass no longer eats a charm slot. Combat is quicker, healing is faster and more viable, and movement chains beautifully: run follows dash, dash follows jump, and every option flows into the next. Exploration becomes fun on its own, which is the mark of a great platformer.

The quest system is a quiet revelation. Getting four quests done gradually as I explore, returning to town, and collecting rewards gives backtracking a purpose beyond map completion. The economy is tighter, too. In Hollow Knight, I often felt either grindy or suddenly rich. In Silksong, money gain feels measured, so purchases matter. The dive kick is awkward at first, then addictive. The platforming is incredible, and it turns simple traversal into a rhythm game played with Hornet's needle.

The Dance of Death—and the Missteps

Silksong kicks your ass faster and harder than the original. Enemies deal two masks of damage as early as the first area, but your improved healing compensates. The message is clear: learn the mechanics, master the dance, or die. Boss fights feel like a dance with death where you learn the steps on the spot. When you finally master a pattern and claim a reward, the satisfaction is immense.

The game is not always fair, though. The Moorwing offers alternate routes if you think smarter, not harder, which reminds me of Outer Wilds: knowledge is a weapon. But standard enemies, especially flying ones in the Citadel, become annoying rather than challenging. They screech, back away from swings, and dodge projectiles, landing them in my top ten of video game enemies I would love to punt across a football field. Bench placement can also be cruel. One boss required me to use a distant bench, climb a steep mountain, and dodge a dozen enemies just to try again. Sometimes the runback is an entire area, ending at a bench that pranks you and refuses to work.

A Feast for Eyes and Ears

The visuals are immaculate. Silksong takes Hollow Knight's hand-drawn art, polishes it, adds animation frames, and layers in better lighting and effects. It is a feast for the eyes. I adored wandering through vibrant, varied areas. The Fourth Chorus fight, Hornet binding to crests and weaver statues, the Citadel's ambience, and Greymoor's sorrowful solitude all left me staring. Greymoor feels like the City of Tears and Deepnest had a melancholy child. Ari Gibson's talent is almost enviable to the point of being rude. Pharloom itself is a cathedral built inside a wasp nest: sacred, hostile, and humming with hidden violence.

The soundtrack is a step up. Instruments are lifted to the forefront, matching Pharloom's vibe. Bilewater's melancholic track gives beauty and purpose to an area made of filth. Cogwork Core might be my favorite, even if it plays in a small location. Sound design is chunky and heavy, with voice lines everywhere. Christopher Larkin handled music and sound design, and the result feels like a massive production. It is easily one of the best video game soundtracks, and I will be listening to it half the time I drive.

Story Woven in Silk and Scripture

The story strikes the same perfect balance as the original: a foreground narrative and deep lore. You can rush through and still get attached to Hornet and Sherma, the best character. Or you can dig into enemy logs, flavor text, and environmental details to find an entire world beneath your feet. Every species has a purpose, every society has history, and every area feels real. The Weaver society's timeline and the Citadel's religious undertones are worth hours of reading. The lore is a tapestry woven by spiders who also keep meticulous footnotes. I will stay vague to avoid spoilers, but take your time. The effort in every word is obvious.

The Verdict

Silksong is a rollercoaster. At its best, it is the best game I have ever played. At its worst, it is Bilewater, an area that makes me consider legal action because it feels immoral to endure without compensation. It was on track for my first-ever perfect score for twenty hours. Then the runbacks, grab attacks, and flying enemies reminded me that mastery comes with friction.

Overall
A flawed masterpiece

If you welcome the challenge, Silksong is the best game of 2025 and still a benchmark in 2026. Pace yourself, stand up, touch grass, and do not let frustration win. After 30 hours and a final boss, I still felt like I had barely scratched the surface. I love it with all my heart, but if you are not willing to endure intense difficulty, it may not be for you. For everyone else: the dance is worth every scar.

Part of what makes a game like this worth committing to is knowing you are getting it at a price that matches the experience. Silksong is the kind of title you will sink dozens of hours into, so it is worth a few minutes of browsing before you commit — checking a game price comparison can reveal that the same title costs noticeably less on one storefront than another, especially once seasonal sales start overlapping across platforms. It is a small step that takes almost no time and leaves more room in the budget for the DLC and soundtracks you will inevitably want afterward.

For anyone still deciding whether to take the plunge, a quick look at DealNest before checkout is a sensible habit rather than a hassle. The difficulty curve means you will be replaying areas more than once, and paying full price on a whim when a cheaper listing exists elsewhere is the kind of mistake that stings almost as much as Bilewater. Get the deal first, then let the scars begin.

Silksong's Arrival Rekindles Hope for the Next Mass Effect
Posted by: xtameembb - 10-17-2026, 01:50 AM - Forum: My Forum - No Replies

After more than six years of teasers, delays, and half-joking April Fool's theories, Hollow Knight: Silksong finally arrived, and its release landed like a key turning in a lock that had rusted shut. For one longtime player, every session with Team Cherry's sequel is a joyride—beautiful, brutal, and occasionally humbling—but the real surprise is what it did to their patience for other long-awaited sequels. If Silksong can emerge from the void, then perhaps the next Mass Effect can too.

A Sequel That Refused to Stay Silent

Silksong was announced with a trailer over six years before it launched, then faded behind the curtain while Team Cherry kept working. Many fans assumed it had become an elaborate prank or a casualty of impossible expectations. Instead, the studio was simply having too much fun developing it—a better fate than a rough development cycle. When the game finally materialized, it proved that a long silence does not always mean a project is dead. Sometimes it means the creators are polishing something until it gleams.

The Elephant in the Gaming Room

That lesson matters because another sequel has been waiting in the dark. The Elder Scrolls 6 is the obvious elephant in the room, the one Todd Howard acknowledged years ago. Many players have learned to put it out of their minds until official news arrives. But there is a different sequel that has burned in the hearts of Mass Effect fans for even longer: the next Mass Effect game.

The next Mass Effect was teased more than five years ago, and Mass Effect 3 launched more than a decade before that. Mass Effect: Andromeda arrived in 2017, but it was a side story, not a continuation of the original trilogy. The next Mass Effect appears to be different. With Liara T'Soni positioned as its face, the project seems poised to pick up after Mass Effect 3 rather than after Andromeda. Whether it is called Mass Effect 4, Mass Effect 5, or simply Mass Effect, the distinction matters less than the promise: a return to the story that began with Commander Shepard and ended with a galaxy-changing choice.

The Canon Problem and the Cost of Hope

Continuing that story has always meant confronting the canonization problem. Mass Effect 3 offered multiple endings, and choosing one as official would make other players' decisions feel trivial. For years, that dilemma seemed like a locked door. Now, however, many fans have stopped caring about the lock. They want more Mass Effect, not more Andromeda, and Liara is one of the most beloved characters in the franchise. Seeing her headline the next chapter is enough to keep excitement alive.

The only problem is that excitement has been idling in a garage for years. The next Mass Effect has reportedly spent around five years in development, much of it in pre-production. BioWare and EA have also weathered layoffs and internal turbulence, which has made the road bumpier than anyone wanted. The wait for the next Mass Effect has become a sealed letter in a drawer: the ink still wet with possibility, but the address fading.

Why Silksong Changes the Mood

Silksong's release works like a thawing river, cracking the ice of cynicism that had frozen around other delayed sequels. Hollow Knight launched in 2017, and its sequel took over eight years to arrive. By comparison, it has been roughly the same amount of time since Mass Effect: Andromeda. That symmetry does not guarantee anything, but it does offer a strange comfort. A game is not canceled just because it is quiet.

Hope, in this case, is like a garden on a comet—beautiful, improbable, and impossible to schedule. Yet Silksong proves that improbable gardens can bloom. Team Cherry's sequel is not just a product; it is a signal that patience can be rewarded when a team is allowed to build something with care. If the next Mass Effect receives even half that devotion, the result could be extraordinary.

A Reason to Keep Waiting

As of 2026, the next Mass Effect still has not shown enough to calm every fear. BioWare's recent history has been rocky, and the industry's layoffs have made long development cycles even more precarious. But Hollow Knight: Silksong's arrival is a reminder that no game should be written off until it is officially canceled. It took over eight years after Hollow Knight for its sequel to materialize. The next Mass Effect has now been in that same waiting zone, and that at least gives fans a reason to keep looking toward the stars.

The galaxy may still be silent, but silence is not the same as emptiness. With Liara waiting in the wings and a legacy stretching back to Mass Effect 3, the next Mass Effect remains one of the most tantalizing possibilities in gaming. Silksong finally crossed the finish line. Perhaps Mass Effect will too.

In the meantime, waiting does not have to mean staring at an empty release calendar. Long gaps between sequels are a good excuse to revisit the games that made the wait worthwhile in the first place — replaying the original Mass Effect trilogy, finally finishing that RPG sitting in the backlog, or trying something new from a genre you have never touched. A slow year is often the best time to catch up, especially when older titles and hidden gems can be picked up for far less than a full-price release.

For players who would rather spend the wait exploring than refreshing rumor threads, sites like DealNest track PC game discounts across storefronts, making it easier to find a deal on something worth playing while the galaxy stays quiet. Whether you are rebuilding your Shepard or discovering a new world entirely, a cheaper way in makes the long haul a little more bearable.

Hollow Knight: Silksong: The Lost Fleas Quest Guide for 2026
Posted by: xtameembb - 10-16-2026, 02:36 PM - Forum: My Forum - No Replies

I have a confession: I spent my first few hours in Hollow Knight: Silksong treating every new room like a buffet of bad decisions. Then I met Mooshka and the Flea Caravan, and suddenly I had a purpose that was not just poke everything and hope. The Lost Fleas quest is one of the earliest side quests in Pharloom, and as of 2026 it remains the best early-game power spike that does not involve selling your soul to a creepy merchant. You find five fleas, you get Flea Brew, and boss fights become slightly less like slamming my head against a musical wall.

Getting the Lost Fleas Quest

As soon as you leave Bone Bottom, head into The Marrow. You do not need any fancy ability to start this quest, which is great because my early Hornet had the grace of a shopping cart with one wobbly wheel. Find the Flea Caravan near the middle area of the Marrow and talk to its master, Mooshka. You will also see Grishkin and Varga hanging around, plus a Bench that feels like a five-star hotel compared to some later resting spots.

From the Bone Bottom entrance, use the platforms above you to reach the upper area. Make your way right until you hit a vertical structure. Go down, then take the first entrance on your left. Mooshka will explain that the fleas are lost across Pharloom and ask for your help. Accept the quest. Boom, you are now a flea rescue service.

A quick tip that saved my sanity: put on headphones. The fleas cry, snore, and make tiny noises that are easy to miss over combat. Listening for them is like panning for gold in a river of noise, except the gold occasionally snores. There are 15 fleas total, but the quest only needs five. I still recommend grabbing the early five fast, because the reward is a warm hug in tool form.

Five Lost Fleas Locations

Here is the short version for my fellow players who navigate by vibes and regret.

Flea
Region
Ability check
Vibe

1
The Marrow
None
Platforming with aerial enemies

2
Deep Docks
Swift Step
Dash to the upper level

3
Hunter's March
Swift Step helps
Mini-boss then red buds

4
Far Fields
None, but combat
Hidden wall and cages

5
Shellwood
Drifter's Cloak
Spikes, flowers, gliding

1. The Marrow

After you beat the Bell Beast, head right until you enter a big open chamber. Hit the lever, climb the platforms to the top, and enter the room above. This is where my platforming felt like trying to thread a needle while riding a unicycle through a hurricane. There are aerial enemies, so stay patient. The flea is trapped in vines in the upper right corner. You have to loop around from the left side to reach him. It might take a few tries. That is fine. The flea believes in you, probably.

2. Deep Docks

Once you unlock Swift Step, do not leave the room where you got it. Seriously, just look up. Dash your way to the upper level of the chamber. There is a little parkour, because of course there is, and the flea is trapped inside some black eggs. Break him out. This one is a victory lap if you resist the urge to immediately fast travel away like I did the first time.

3. Hunter's March

The third flea is at the beginning of Hunter's March, a small optional region connected to The Marrow. The entrance is guarded by a Skarrguard above the Marrow's prison, near where you first meet Grindle. With Swift Step, you can dash around his heavy attacks and make him look silly. After the mini-boss, go right into Hunter's March. Follow the tricky platforms and buds. Hit the buds for a bounce. When you can go right or up, choose up. Use the red buds, avoid the spikes, and you will find a flea sleeping in a cage at the top. He is having a better day than I was during that spike section.

4. Far Fields

The fourth flea is in a hidden passage on the right side of the main Far Fields chamber. From the Deep Docks entrance, head right into the next horizontal area. Keep walking until you see two red ants chilling around a lantern on a platform above you. Defeat them, especially the one with the skull hat. That guy has main character energy in the worst way.

Clear the area, then sprint and jump up the platforms to the top entrance. Go to the far right side of the room and smash the wall to reveal a secret area. Follow it, jump up more platforms, and take the first entrance on the right. Keep walking right until Hornet gets caught by a cage. Smash it, immediately deal with the red ant that appears on your left, then head right again to free the flea from another cage. This section is like opening a series of Russian nesting dolls, except every doll wants to stab you.

5. Shellwood

The fifth flea is the spicy one. He is trapped in the middle of dangerous flowers and many spikes. You need Drifter's Cloak to glide, so if you do not have it yet, come back later. Once you have it, head to the main area of Shellwood where you first found Shakra. Go right, striking the white roses for a boost, until you can go left or up. Choose up. Climb until you can choose up or down again. Now go down while gliding. Be careful. There are spike walls and annoying flowers that seem personally offended by your existence.

If you make it to the bottom, you will find the flea. I got a little desperate and rescued him before taking a screenshot, so you will have to trust me on this one. My health and silk were full, and I still felt like a nervous raccoon trying to assemble furniture in the dark.

Reward for Completing The Lost Fleas Quest

Congratulations, you are now a certified flea wrangler. Return to the Flea Caravan in The Marrow and speak to Mooshka again. He will offer you the chance to travel with them. Accept it to trigger a short cutscene. The caravan moves to Greymoor, just past the Halfway Home tavern.

Go there and talk to Grishkin. You will unlock the Flea Brew. It is a red tool that increases Hornet's movement and attack speed. Boss fights become considerably easier because you attack faster and end them sooner. When the brew runs out, return to the Flea Caravan and speak to Grishkin again to refill it for free. Free refills in a game this hostile? That is rarer than a calm walk through the Blasted Steps.

Final Tips from a Recovering Spikephobe

Listen for crying and snoring. Headphones help a lot.

You only need five fleas for the quest, but there are 15 total if you want to be thorough.

Do this early in Act 1. Flea Brew is a huge help before the nastier bosses.

If a flea is stuck in a wall, cage, or vines, hit the thing. Usually. Sometimes after you deal with the enemies. Okay, always after the enemies if you value your health.

Do not feel bad if you die. I died so many times that the Bench started charging me rent.

In 2026, Hollow Knight: Silksong still has plenty of ways to humble you. The Lost Fleas quest is one of the few early errands that pays you back with something genuinely transformative. So grab your needle, follow the tiny noises, and rescue those weird little passengers. They may not say thank you in words, but Flea Brew says it in speed. And speed, as every Hornet main knows, is basically survival.

The instinct to hunt down every last flea and squeeze out free refills is the same one that makes a good deal impossible to ignore. If you're planning to pick up Hollow Knight: Silksong, a new controller, or any other gaming gear to make the journey through Pharloom a little less punishing, it's worth checking a few retailers before you commit. DealNest gathers offers in one place so you can compare prices here and keep more of your geo for the important things—like replacing the controller you threw during the Last Judge fight.
